Al-Hijrah Mosque was established by Al-Hijrah Trust – Birmingham by purchasing property No: 59 Hob Moor Rd in March 1995 and converted it to Mosque to meet the local community’s communal and religious needs.
Al-Hijrah Mosque is one of the early registered mosques of Birmingham (Reg No: 79385), The Mosque is located in Small Heath vicinity, south of Birmingham in an area that is heavily populated by Muslims. Muslims arrival in Small Heath was during the 1960s (after the 2nd World War).
Al-Hijrah Mosque has gone through numerous phases of development and progress. The building itself has become a landmark of Al-Hijrah Mosque and is well-known to Muslim and non Muslim. The mosque has developed, over the years, catering for all people by providing vital services and assistance.
