Summary of Services Al-Hijrah Mosque provide

Friday Prayers

Jumma prayers are offered at 2.00pm in the summer time and 1.00pm in the winter times when the clocks go back. The kuthba always starts 30 minutes prier to prayer times. The Khutba is delivered in Urdu then translated fully and explained in English to cater for all the needs of the community.

Educational

  • The mosques offer weekday after school Arabic classes for young children to learn and recite the Holy Quran, We teach between the hours of 5:00pm – 7:00pm Monday to Friday. We also teach on weekends between the hours of 400pm-7:00pm. We have 5-6 levels of classes starting from very beginner to GCSE Level, our pupils are taught the following subjects: Quran, Hadith, Arabic, Urdu, Duas, Islamic studies, Tahzib, and Islamic history. Our classes do not accede the number of 20 pupils per class. Additon to this we have Tahfeezul Qur’an section where the number of pupils does not accede 7 pupils per class.
  • Br Haroon offers a ‘Dars-e-Quran’ (understanding the Holy Qur’an) session after fajar prayers in the mosque everyday.
  • The Mosques also intends inshallah to hold regular key events inviting leading scholars to give talks on Islam. The purpose is to educate Muslims about Islam.

Prayer

Al-Hijrah Mosque is open for the five daily prayers. Friday as well as Taraweeh prayer are also held in the Mosque. Within the Mosque we will have a permanent area for ladies.

Religious Advice & Counseling

At Al-Hijrah Mosque, we plan to help and advice Muslims in different aspects of life. At Al-Hijrah, we have experienced Imams and dedicated team who are well experienced in their field and the challenges of the Muslim Community.

New Muslim Advice & Support

As an increasing number of people find out about Islam, many decide to convert to Islam. Some face difficulties from friends and family members. At Al-Hijrah Mosque, we plan to provide advice, support and friendship.

Dialogue with People of other Faiths

We hold regular programmes with different faith-communities with the aim of integration, explaining and removing the misconceptions about Islam and the Muslim Community.

Ladies Activities

We believe that Muslim ladies need to be active in their field. This means the participation in Mosque activities; it is for this reason, at Al-Hijrah Mosque, ladies have been given a permanent place where they can get together to hold different type of activities. Youth Activities

Charity Work

We regularly assist and hold fundraising events for UK registered and leading charities such as Interpal, Islamic Relief, Muslim Aid and Families Relief.
