In this phase, we will build the first floor of the mosque which will involve building a first floor to the rear of the Masjid and to the side (St Benedicts Road).

During this phase, we will:

• Complete the proposed first Floor extension towards St Benedicts Road and towards Al-Hijrah School car park
• Full Re-Wiring of the first floor extension
• Central Heating System for the area
• New Roof for the full area of the extension
• Electrical work
• Fire alarm
• Plaster Work
• Wood Work
• Decoration which will include painting the walls and ceilings, etc.
• Fitting new carpet in the first floor
• Fixing fans in the entire building

By this phase, the Masjid will be ready and all that will be required is to:

• Replace the roof of 59 Hob Moor Road which is more than 25 years of age also continuously leaks
• Building the Boundary wall of the mosque which mark the perimeter
• External decorations will be needed, including the forecourt area
• Separate rooms in the loft area will be converted which are to be used for prayer area/Masjid offices or class rooms

It is estimated that this phase will also cost another £150,000.

Once the extension project has been completed, it is estimated that the Mosque will be large enough to accommodate approximately 800 people. The mosque building will contain, mainly, of two large halls; first hall will be downstairs with a separate area for ladies and another large hall will be upstairs, also with the conversion of loft area to prayer area/Masjid offices or classrooms.
